Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account details — your email address and sign-in information.
• Lecture recordings — the audio you record, and the transcripts made from it.
• Location with each recording — used only to recognise which class you're in, so recordings file themselves.
• Material you upload — syllabi, readings, slides and handouts.
• What LectureBot generates for you — notes, callouts, study guides, flashcards, practice tests and your results.
• Usage and diagnostics — app activity and error reports that help us keep the service running.

How we use it

To provide LectureBot: transcribing your lectures, generating your study material, estimating your readiness, building your schedule, and running sharing and study groups you take part in. We don't sell your data.

Processing by our providers

LectureBot runs on Microsoft Azure. Recordings are transcribed with Azure AI Speech, and study material is generated with Azure OpenAI. Your data is stored in Azure in our account.

Sharing and activity

Your content is private unless you share a class with someone. The in-app activity feed shows actions (for example, "recorded a lecture") under a name derived from your email — never the content of your lectures or notes.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time.

Your choices

You can stop sharing a class, leave a study group, or request a copy or deletion of your data.
